A 20-year-old man was also found with serious and potentially life-changing injuries after the horror.
Two boys aged 17 have been charged with murder and attempted murder and will appear at Derby Magistrates’ Court today.
A 16-year-old boy earlier charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon will appear at crown court tomorrow.
Tributes flooded in for Benjamin, who was a pupil at The Pingle Academy, after his death.
His former head teacher Vivien Sharples said the school was supporting pupils.
She added: “This is a devastating situation and our thoughts are with the family. Clearly this will have an impact on the whole community.
“We have told students that if they have been affected by the incident and would like support, to tell any member of staff they feel able to talk to and we will organise help.
“Benjamin was a popular student at The Pingle Academy until he left in 2020 at the end of year 11. He enjoyed football and music. He was jovial and had a good sense of humour.
