Ibiza is back with a bang this year and, making up for some serious lost time, it’s opening early.
There are some huge opening nights and events happening in the White Isle in April and May, with some big names taking to the decks.
So if you want to dance the night away with the likes of Charlotte de Witte, Pete Tong, Bob Sinclair and Dj Solomun, Ibiza is the place to be.

Better Together: Day and Night Opening Party
Where? Ushuaïa, midday to midnight, and Hï Ibiza, 11pm to 6.30am
When? April 30 to May 1
Marking the mighty return of both DJs and dancers to the island, Better Together sees two Ibiza powerhouses join forces for a music marathon.
Headlined by the king and queen of techno, Adam Beyer and Charlotte de Witte, alongside house legend Black Coffee, this rave reunion will set the scene for a massive season.
‘It’s going to be an amazing reawakening for Ibiza nightlife’, says Yann Pissenem, founder of Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza. ‘Both clubs will be offering the best programme of events we’ve ever had.’

Glitterbox Opening Party
Where? Hï Ibiza
When? May 8
Known for its jaw-dropping production and uplifting blend of soulful, joyous music, Glitterbox is gearing up for an unforgettable reunion.
The most positive party in Ibiza, the line-up is still TBC but the night’s musical DNA is a crossbreed of house, disco and soul, so you can expect big-name DJs alongside the drag queens, club kids and performers who embody the party’s inclusive atmosphere.
‘Ibiza has been our escape and summer sanctuary for over two decades,’ says Glitterbox founder Simon Dunmore.
‘So planting the Glitterbox flag back on Balearic soil after a two-year hiatus is incredibly exciting.’

Defected Ibiza Opening Weekender
Where? Eden, Dalt Vila, Octan and Amnesia
When? April 29 to May 1
Kicking off with a freebie at famous sunset spot Café Mambo, this three-
day, five-venue party is the ultimate Ibiza weekender so you’ll need to pack your stamina.
A celebration of all things house, Darius Syrossian gets the party started at newly renovated Eden, while the Dunmore Brothers close at glass-roofed Amnesia, which floods with light as the sun rises.
An all-day affair, Saturday sees Defected hand the keys to Dalt Vila, an ancient walled citadel with an Ibiza Town backdrop, where Bob Sinclair, the ever-upbeat DJ who got ravers through lockdown with his 55-day set, takes the reins.
Producer and DJ TSHA says, ‘I’m so elated to be headed back out to Ibiza this year. The island is special in so many ways, it can lift spirits and bring people together, which is exactly what we all need right now.’

O Beach Ibiza Grand Opening

The inventor of the Ibiza pool party, O Beach is an explosion of sparkle and sashaying, all to the backdrop of timeless house from Hed Kandi, Kisstory’s old-school anthems and classic disco.
This year’s tenth anniversary opening party sees the launch of a new sunset roof garden overlooking San Antonio Harbour and promises even more extravagant action around the pool.
‘Our magical island has had a break from the masses, survived everything thrown at it and rediscovered itself as a party mecca,’ says O Beach founder Tony Truman.
‘The Ibiza smiley face has long been a symbol of dance music and this year will see the return of millions of real smiley faces… none more so than mine.’

Pacha Grand Opening Party: Solomun All Night Long

When? April 29
The combination of Ibiza institution Pacha, a club that’s evolved with the island since the 70s, and DJ Solomun, who’s single-handedly redefined European house music with his melodic anthems, will be nothing short of electric.
In pure Pacha style, the grand opening will see the club’s iconic red cherries sparkle back to life against a new design but clubbers can expect the same mix of spontaneity and theatrical fun for which the venue is famed.
‘Last year was so restrictive with masks and no dancing. Ibiza thrives on partying so it was really sad to see,’ says Andy Matthews, owner of VIP hot spot Plastik.
‘We got through it but we’re looking forward to enjoying ourselves and socialising, and let’s be honest, without the Brits there is no party!’

IMS Dalt Vila
Where? Dalt Vila, Ibiza Old Town
When? April 29
The line-up for this seven-hour outdoor party is nothing short of colossal, with bastion of underground house music Jamie Jones going back-to-back with Chicago selector The Blessed Madonna in the headline slot. Rave revivalists Joy Orbison and Overmono will take over as day turns to night.
‘We’ve put together a spectacular line-up for Dalt Vila and the opening of what is set to be the biggest summer season in years,’ says DJ Pete Tong.
‘The anticipation of being back on the White Isle from everyone, including DJs, is incredible.’
