New Delhi: Sending a strong message to China from US soil, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has said that India will not spare anyone who harms India as India continues to emerge as a powerful country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India is moving towards becoming one of the top three economies in the world.
Addressing the Indian-American community in San Francisco, the defense minister spoke of the bravery shown by Indian troops on the border with China. “I can say with certainty that a message has gone to China that India will not spare anyone if it is harmed,” he said. If anyone breaks India, India will not leave them.
Rajnath sent a message to the US that India does not trust the diplomacy of Zero Sum Game. Our relations with any country cannot be at the expense of other countries. If India has good relations with one country, it does not mean that its relations with any other country will deteriorate. He made the remarks amid growing resentment in the United States over India’s position on the Ukraine crisis and its decision to buy oil from Russia at a concessional rate. “India’s image has changed,” Rajnath said. India’s respect has increased. No world power can stop India from becoming the world’s third largest economy in the next few years.
The Indian Defense Minister further congratulated the Indian-American community for maintaining Indian identity. “Indians living outside India have always been proud to consider themselves Indians,” he said. Indians are reaching new heights in the US and have been instrumental in the relations between the two countries. At the same time, the country is proud of the people of Indian descent who have achieved Siddhi, he said.
