Bardoli: The merchant of Madhi village in Bardoli taluka had a hard time giving a car lift to the youth of the society. The youth met his two accomplices and robbed the trader by showing him a paddle (Knife). The trio got out of the car after a scuffle and found the three cars and a wallet full of 70,000 cash in the car. They looted a total of Rs 2.20 lakh and fled. Police have taken action against the three persons for speeding during the count.
According to the information received, Sanjay Ashok, a resident of Babunagar in Madhya Pradesh, runs an auto parts shop at Medani Mandvi. On Monday afternoon, Sanjay took his Swift car to Mandvi. Nailesh alias Nilesh alias Tinio Jagdev Singh Parmar, who was living in Phalia at the time and was involved in the photography business, and Sujit Ravindra Konkani, who was working in his studio, asked for a lift in the car to go to Mandvi. So being a young man from Phalia, Sanjay gave a lift to both of them. Meanwhile, on the way from Madhi to Mandvi, Sujit put a paddle on Sanjay’s neck near Vanskui village, moved him from the driving seat and Nailesh sat on the driving seat. A third man, Mayur Himmat Tadvi, was also chasing the car on a motorcycle. On the way to Balda village, Sanjay got into a scuffle to get rid of Sanjay. Sanjay got out of the car as the car was parked during the melee and both the youths found the car and a wallet full of Rs 70,000 inside the car, looted a total of Rs 2.20 lakh and went on a rampage. As soon as the incident was reported, Sanjay’s family members rushed to the spot and rushed him to the hospital. Meanwhile, Bardoli village police became active and made a proposal to arrest the accused. Police nabbed Nailesh and Sujit from Rayam with a car and cash. A third youth, who was chasing the car and helping, was arrested from Rajpipla. Police have registered a case of robbery against the three and are conducting further investigations.
