As time changes so does technology. Man should accept it instinctively. The old should be forgotten and the new should be adopted. Due to the change in technology, the city has a number of items that were seen on a daily basis and were very useful, but now they are forgotten. Here’s a look at some of the things that didn’t work out before and are now a thing of the past.
TV and dish antenna
In the past, if you wanted to watch a program on TV, you had to adjust the antenna on the roof, then the vision would come right and the family could watch TV. With the passage of time, cable and dish antennas have taken their place, but now the age of dish antennas has also passed and with the upgrade of technology, people can now watch programs on smart TVs only through OTT. Due to technology, dish antennas were seen on the roof after the first antenna and now it has been replaced by OTT Edge.
STD and coin box telephone
In the old days, STD-PCO booths were seen to talk to relatives or family members living in the suburbs, in which day and night call charges were also different. The city of Ther Ther was dominated by yellow booths. Similarly, there was a time when red coin box telephones were used to make local calls. Such telephones can be found at grocery stores or provision stores. In which 1 rupee coin can be inserted and 3 minutes local talk can be done. With the advent of technology-changing mobiles, such booths and telephones have become obsolete.
Video Cassette Library
In the 1985’s, having a VCR in one’s home was considered a sign of a wealthy family. Usually if you want to watch a movie you have to go to the theater and if you want to watch a movie sitting at home then video is the only option. Now the price of a video cassette of a movie was 300 rupees, so if there was a library after the book, it was a video cassette library. It was also a matter of pride to be a member. If a member of such a library was charged Rs. 10 for 24 hours of a single movie, the fare was Rs. 20 for a non-member. However. VCRs were replaced by disc players, so such libraries began to close and ceased to exist with the advent of MP3 players and CD players. However, the cable has now been replaced by OTT.
Technology now also in road cleaning
The first thing we saw on the road was a broom and a basket in the hands of the janitors. However, technology is now being used in this method as well. Especially the main road is now being cleaned by sweeper machine. As a result, manual work has not been done. The machine just clears the road.
