Rinku Singh, a native of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, has made a name for himself in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Runu was instrumental in leading his team to victory by scoring runs and Rinku, who previously only showed his talent on the field as a substitute fielder, has now led his team to victory as a batsman. Rinku made his IPL debut in 2017, although he has played only 13 matches so far from 2017 to 2022.
During these five years, Rinku did not get regular opportunities. So when he got the chance, Rinku showed his skills on the pitch. In the match against Rajasthan Royals, he hit six fours and one six and scored 42 off 23 balls to win the Player of the Match award. The night before the match, Rinku felt that he would have a blast in Monday’s match. In a conversation with his partner Nitish Rana on the pitch after the match, Rinku said that he had written ’50 run noteout ‘on his hand before going to bed. Rinku said, “I thought I would make a run today, be the man of the match and I wrote 50 with my own hand and made a heart symbol.”
Following Rinku’s innings, Kolkata Knight Riders’ losing streak in IPL 2022 has come to an end. The team defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in a match played at Wankhede Stadium.
In the previous 5 matches, KKR had suffered 5 consecutive defeats. The team was at the top of the points table at one point, but a series of defeats made it difficult for the team to reach the playoffs. Now the explosive batting of young batsman Rinku Singh gave the team its fourth win of the season. Rinku Singh, 24, came to bat after the dismissal of Shreyas Iyer. Not once during the match winning innings played by Rinku Singh did he feel like he was struggling on the pitch. Rajasthan have international bowlers like Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Bolt and the famous Krishna, but Rinku faced them all. He also caught 2 catches earlier in fielding.

Rinku was bought by Punjab for Rs 10 lakh in the 2017 IPL auction, but did not get a chance to play. In 2018, KKR bought it for Rs 80 lakh, even then it did not get much opportunity. Rinku got Rs 55 lakh in this year’s auction. Rinku Singh has got a chance to play in three matches in IPL 2022. In his first match against Gujarat Titans, Rinku played a superb innings of 35 runs.
