New Delhi: Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has approved an important proposal to provide relief to the Armed Forces personnel. He has approved an amendment to the standard of accommodation for the features provided to the personnel attached to the defense services. Its purpose is to improve the living standards of the Armed Forces personnel. The Defense Ministry has also issued a statement in this regard. “Implementation of the Scale of Accommodation-2022 will improve the accommodation and infrastructure for the Armed Forces,” the statement said.
What will be in the furnished houses?
In India, military officers and soldiers will get better and bigger furnished houses built with the latest national standards. With the approval of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Army officers and soldiers will get multi-level parking facilities, multi-purpose indoor courts, 10 per cent more plinth in homes with the new scale. Apart from this, more power points will be provided in the houses which will meet the needs of the present time. The implementation of new housing standards approved by the government will definitely improve the quality of life of military personnel.
The quality of life of military personnel will be greatly improved
These new housing standards are approved after 13 years. Because the last review was done in 2009. The lifestyles of all the workers and their families have changed a lot since then. That is why the government has come out with this new standard of housing. This will greatly improve the quality of life of military personnel. Apart from multi-level parking facilities for military personnel, multi-purpose indoor courts, 10 per cent more plinth in homes, additional indoor sports complexes with additional basketball and volleyball courts in residential areas will also be received.
MES will also build homes with modular kitchens
The Military Engineer Services (MES) is one of the pillars of the Indian Army’s Corps of Engineers providing back-line engineering support to affiliated agencies of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense (MoD). The accommodation will also house homes with MES modular kitchens. Luggage space in all homes will also be expanded. The walls, ceiling and floor will also be finished in a more aesthetic way.
MES carries out various construction activities for military bases / camps such as residential and office buildings, hospitals, roads, runways and marine structures across the country including border areas. In addition to traditional buildings, MES is involved in the construction of complex laboratories, factories, workshops, hangars, ammunition storage facilities, dockyards, jetties / ferries and other complex / specialized structures.
