New Delhi: The first lunar eclipse of the year 2022 will be observed on Monday, May 16, Indian time. The full moon in this lunar planet will be 3 hours, 27 minutes and 58 seconds. This time the lunar eclipse is rare. Because this time the moon will look red like blood. Two such coincidences occur once a year. Scientists are calling it the Super Lunar Event. Because in this super event there will be a complete eclipse and the color of the moon will be bloody red. Why are all these events happening at the same time? Will it affect the earth or not? Let’s find out
The reason behind the total lunar eclipse
Lunar eclipses occur when the earth comes between the moon and the sun. The moon is tilted five degrees in its orbit so the full moon stays slightly above or just below the shadow of the earth. But the moon is in its orbit twice when it is in the same horizontal plane in front of the earth and the sun, that is, neither above nor below. I.e. in one line. So in such a situation there is a complete lunar eclipse.
Why does a red lunar eclipse happen?
When the moon is completely covered behind the shadow of the earth, it will not receive sunlight and will remain in darkness. But the moon is never completely black. It looks like a sack that encloses with a drawstring. That is why a complete lunar eclipse is sometimes called a red or bloody lunar eclipse. Now tell me why red? Sunlight has all sorts of visible colors. When the gas in the Earth’s atmosphere gives it a blue color and the red wavelength crosses it. This is then called Raleigh scattering. That’s why we see the sky blue and sunrise and sunset red. Something similar happens during a lunar eclipse. Even then a red wavelength passes through the Earth’s atmosphere and turns toward the Moon due to that atmosphere. Here the blue color is filtered. Due to which the color of the moon appears red.
What time will the lunar eclipse be in India?
If you want to see a lunar eclipse you have to live in the part of the earth where there is night. However, this time a total lunar eclipse will also appear in the Pacific Ocean’s midline, the Americas, Africa and the southern part of Canada, Greenland. Also, the lunar eclipse will start in India on Monday 16th May at 7.57 am. This lunar eclipse will last until 12.20 pm. This means that the duration of this lunar eclipse will be about 5 hours. This eclipse will take place in Vishakha Nakshatra. The Moon will be in Libra when the eclipse starts and in Scorpio when the eclipse ends. This eclipse is affecting 3 points. The first is Vishakha Nakshatra which is Jupiter’s Nakshatra, the second is Libra and the third is Scorpio. However, its gestation period will not be valid as it does not appear in India.
What will be the effects of lunar eclipse?
The effect of lunar eclipse will last from 15 days to 1 month. Natural disasters are expected to increase in the country and the world during this time. Disputes can occur in coastal areas. The war seems to be over. Lunar eclipses will increase inflation due to the influence of planets and also increase people’s anger. Cancer in India whose lord lunar eclipse. So big political changes can happen in India. Bad times can come for a woman politician or an artist.
