Mumbai: In the IPL match played here today, with the help of Rahul Tripathi’s aggressive half-century and his half-century partnership with Priyam Garg and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians reached 190 runs by 7 wickets.
Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kish gave Mumbai an aggressive start to the target, but they could not turn a good start into a big innings and after losing the first wicket for 95 runs, they lost a quick wicket to take Mumbai to 144 for five. In the 18th over, Tim David scored 26 runs with four sixes to put Mumbai close to victory but they were run out and the Sunrisers won the match by 3 runs.
Sunrisers informant batsman Abhishek Sharma was out early after Mumbai won the toss and elected to field first. However, Priyam Garg then teamed up with Rahul Tripathi to score an average of 10. The two had a 78-run partnership. Garg was dismissed for 42 off 26 balls. This was followed by a 76-run partnership between Tripathi and Nicholas Pooran. Puran was dismissed for 38, while Tripathi was dismissed for 76 off 44 balls. Aiden Markram and Kane Williamson were then at the crease but could not reach 200 and finally finished their innings at 193 for six.
