Dubai: The controversy over former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s remarks against the Prophet Mohammad is growing instead of calming down. Many Muslim countries around the world have protested against Nupur Sharma’s remarks. After Kuwait, Qatar and Iran, now the UAE has also condemned Nupur Sharma’s remarks. The U.N.’s foreign ministry said in a statement that the U.N. denies any conduct that violates ethical values and principles. The United Arab Emirates has said that all religious symbols should be respected and that hate speech should be completely discouraged. According to the statement, such things should be avoided: there is no danger of provoking the feelings of people of any religion. Outrage is rife in Muslim countries following remarks made by a former BJP spokesperson about the Prophet Mohammad. Many countries have officially protested against India. The BJP had suspended party spokesperson Nupur Sharma for six years for making controversial remarks on the Prophet. So Naveen Kumar Jindal has been expelled from the party. He was the head of the Delhi BJP Media Cell. The whole affair started with a comment made by Nupur Sharma on May 5 during a debate on a TV channel. His click went viral on social media. Nupur Sharma was accused of insulting the Prophet Mohammad.
