Surat: (Surat) Still in Surat yesterday, Sunday. On June 19, at 5 pm, BJP state president C.R. The Multilayer Fly Over Bridge inaugurated by CR Patil on Monday saw dirt on the second day. My dirt has been sprayed on the railing of the bridge by a motorist. Photos and videos of my filthy bridge railing are going viral on social media. People are hurling insults at the perpetrator. Even yesterday, on social media, the people of Surat were proud of the country’s first multilayer flyover bridge and today, the same bridge has been made dirty.
- The first three layer and multi direction as well as 117th bridge of the city was opened on 19th June on Sahara Darwaza Railway Garnala realized by Surat Municipal Corporation at a cost of Rs. 19.20 crore.
The first three layer and multi-direction railway flyover of the state at a cost of Rs. 19.50 crore was constructed by the Surat Municipal Corporation on Sunday at Bridge City Surat Manpani Yashkalgi on Surat-Mumbai Western Railway line on Sahara Darwaza Railway Garnala, connecting Karnimata Junction on Surat-Bardoli Road at a cost of Rs. The overbridge was inaugurated on Sunday by MP CR Patil.
Addressing the inauguration function organized by the Municipal Corporation of India (MCCI) near Sahara Darwaza, MP and BJP state president CR Patil said, Transportation has become easier compared to other urban areas. Union Railway Minister Darshana Jardosh, who was present at the inauguration of the 117th bridge of the city, said that Surat Municipal Corporation deserves congratulations for making the city of Surat famous in the construction of bridges.
Less than 24 hours after the inauguration, there were scenes of people spraying dirt on the bridge. Leaf spray stains can be seen on more than three places on the railing of the bridge. Not only that, some drivers have been seen dangerously going to the wrong side of the bridge.
The benefits of this bridge
- It is possible to cross the railway line directly from the ring road fly overbridge towards Surat-Kadodra road and also a separate ramp has been provided to go towards Surat-Kamaraj road through Varachha area of the city.
- A new connectivity will also be created from the ring road to Varachha area towards Surat-Kamaraj road. The traffic from the railway station to Surat-Kadodra road can also be relieved from the problem of traffic jam by using this bridge.
- Road level vehicles will also ply in both directions from Railway Garnala 445 on the Surat-Mumbai railway line. In addition, the railway will be able to move from Garnala to Mumbai and also to Surat in both directions.
In monsoon, the problem of obstruction of traffic due to flooding or other reasons will no longer exist.
The transport facility will be seen in all the three layers together.
