And no, you don’t need to slave away for hours in the kitchen, or go and spend a fortune on fancy ingredients.
Thanks to Babs, a grandma-of-8 and mum-of-4, there’s a very simple step that you must take if you want to impress your friends and family with your baking.
Babs regularly posts on TikTok, to her account ‘brunchwithbabs‘, sharing her ‘wisdom and making easy family tradition recipes’.
And her latest brownie secret has left everyone stunned.

According to Babs, in order to make the best brownies, you can use a ready-made mixture (yes, you heard that correctly, so it’s not too difficult to do), but you should add chocolate bars in between the mixture when you put it in a dish.
It’s as simple as that and you can use whatever chocolate bars you like.
But by adding chocolate bars in the middle of the mixture, your brownies will be perfectly chewy, chocolatey and delicious.

“You need to try candy in the middle of your brownie.
“Grease your brownie pan and then line it with parchment paper.
“Get your favourite brownie mix and pour half into your prepared pan.
“Now the secret ingredient – the candy bar of your choice, two candy bars.
“Lay the bars over your brownie mix.

“Cover with the remaining brownie mix, right over the candy.

Babs then takes her brownies out of the oven and takes a bite.
