New Delhi: China and America have once again come face to face over Taiwan. Even after China’s threats, US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has reached Taiwan. China has objected to Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. China says that the US must be prepared for a jaw-dropping response. Let us know that Nancy Pelosi is on a trip to Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan. As soon as his plane landed at the Taiwan airport, China was furious. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China has said in its statement that the US is playing a dangerous gamble and now the US will have to take responsibility for its dire consequences.
According to the information, the Su-35 fighter jets of the Chinese Air Force were crossing the waters of Taiwan when Speaker Pelosi’s Air Force plane approached Taipei. Eight US F-15 fighter jets and five tanker aircraft took off from a US base in Okinawa, Japan, to provide security for Pelosi’s flight. According to the information received from the sources, the US Air Force has been given the freedom to shoot if China interferes in any way or tries to harm the plane carrying Pelosi to Taiwan.
According to sources, the US deployed four warships and an aircraft carrier east of Taiwan in what the US Navy described as a routine deployment. The US earlier sent two of its aircraft carriers, dozens of warships and three submarines near the Taiwan border. China has also deployed lethal warships and fighter jets to Taiwan on a large scale.
Let it be known that after 25 years, an official of the American government has gone to Taiwan. Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke to US President Joe Biden over the phone. On this phone, Xi Jinping told Biden that America should follow the ‘One-China Principle’. China threatened, “Those who play with fire will burn themselves.” Biden responded by saying that the US has not changed its policy on Taiwan and strongly opposes unilateral efforts to undermine peace and stability in Taiwan.
The war between Taiwan and China is very old
The war between Taiwan and China is very old. In 1949, the Communist Party won the civil war. Since then both parts consider themselves as one country but there is a dispute over which government will lead the national leadership. China considers Taiwan its province while Taiwan considers itself an independent country. The rifts between the two countries started after the Second World War. At that time there was a war going on in China between the Communist Party and the Kuomintang. In 1940, the Communists led by Mao Zedong defeated the Kuomintang Party. After the defeat, Kuomintang people came to Taiwan. In the same year China was renamed as ‘People’s Republic of China’ and Taiwan as ‘Republic of China’. China considers Taiwan as its province and believes that one day Taiwan will become part of it. While Taiwan considers itself an independent country. Taiwan has its own constitution and an elected government. Taiwan is an island about 100 miles off the southeast coast of China. Currently, only 13 countries in the world recognize Taiwan as a separate sovereign and independent country.
Taiwan began building shelters
In view of the Chinese threats, Taiwan has started building shelters. For this, underground car parking, subway system and underground shopping centers are being converted into shelter homes. People are also being trained. So that if the situation worsens and China launches an air attack, people can come and hide in shelters. More than 4,600 such shelters have been built in Taiwan’s capital, Taipei, which can accommodate more than 12 million people.
