New Delhi: Ola Electric has launched its new scooter (Ola New Scooter). The company has named the new scooter as Ola S1. The Ola S1 is the base variant of the company’s S1 electric scooter range. Also as expected the new scooter will get a smaller battery than the Ola S1 Pro. The company has started its booking from today. OLA Electric CEO Bhavish Agarwal launched his new scooter on the occasion of Independence Day. With a range of 131 km in Eco mode, the Ola S1 scooter will get a 3kWh battery, which will take 5 hours to fully charge. After a full charge it can cover a distance of 131 km in eco mode. Apart from Eco mode, the S1 also gets Normal and Sports modes. In this mode, the company has claimed that the range of the scooter will be 101 km. At the same time the range of the scooter in normal mode will be 101 km. The top speed of the scooter is said to be 95 kmph.
The company’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said that the starting price of Ola S1 will be Rs 99,999. This is Ola’s second electric product. Bhavish said that bookings for the new Ola S-1 scooter have started. He only got Rs. 499 can be booked at a special introductory price. This offer is valid from 15 August to 31 August only. The new Ola S1 electric scooter will be offered in five color options – Red, Jet Black, Porcelain White, Neo Mint and Liquid Silver.
Regarding the software in the Ola S-1, Ola Electric says that the S1 will receive all OTA updates in the future. It also includes Move OS3, which is coming this Diwali. This update can bring many features like unlocking and mood. As far as its features are concerned, except for the cruise control, it gets all the features that you see in the S1 Pro. The S-1 Pro will also feature navigation, Bluetooth connectivity. Apart from Ola S1 PRO in new color, Ola S1 PRO will also be available in Khaki color variant. Ola S1 PRO is currently available in Marshmallow, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Coral Glam, Jet Black, Matte Black, Gray and Ocher color options.
