Candle Shack, a leading supplier of candle making supplies in the United Kingdom, recently unveiled their proprietary candle recipes that were tested in their in-house laboratory. These recipes aim to provide an easy start for candle makers to produce candles with good performance and in compliance with UK and Europe’s safety regulations.
“We know candle making can be frustrating and technical barriers can prevent you from moving forward with your business. It can feel like you are constantly taking one step forward and two steps back. Not to mention you can spend an absolute fortune! Until now, all people can find online is ‘generic’ wick recommendations, that often don’t work. That’s not surprising, as most people who sell candle making components, are not candle manufacturers or are small scale producers without R&D facilities and teams. It’s not that they don’t want to help…they just can’t as every combination needs testing. So, six months ago, I asked our R&D laboratory to start testing our most popular fragrances in our best 3 waxes and in 3 candle sizes, and to produce detailed test reports for every combination. A CS Recipe is a fully tested combination of fragrance, wax and wick in a particular vessel size. Tested for Fire Safety and Sooting behaviour in our lab. They are available to you completely free of charge.” – said Duncan MacLean, CEO of Candle Shack.
The candle manufacturing industry has evolved over the years, growing to become a multi-billion-dollar market. One of the major difficulties faced by candle makers is finding the right combination of candle wax, wick, fragrance oil, and vessel to make a candle that performs well and complies with the regulations. The trial and error process can be time-consuming and capital intensive. However, Candle Shack aims to save their clients and other candle manufacturers the stress and wastage that come with finding the right combination by unveiling their lab-tested recipes.
The leading UK candle making supplies company is known for providing premium quality materials. The unveiled recipes have gone through 30,000 hours of testing, saving candle making business customers the stress of conducting all testing by themselves and allowing them to focus more on growing their businesses. Customers can also purchase a finished candle sample of the recipe to test the quality and its suitability in the comfort of their homes.
