A REALITY TV show star doctor has been struck off after sharing misleading and offensive messages on Facebook.

NHS medic Dr Ricky Allen has been thrown out of the profession after spreading anti-vax posts as well as racist and homophobic abuse on the social media site.

Dr Allen, who appeared on Channel 4 show Hunted, ranted on Facebook that only a “brainless halfwit” would get a Covid jab.

He also branded Scottish people “despicable, stingy and small-minded” and described Islam as a “religion for dirty old men”.

He also called for “machine guns every 200 yards” along the Kent coast leaving bodies “burned on the beach”.

Dr Allen, who worked as a GP and as a hospital doctor for more than three decades, has now been struck off by the General Medical Council.

A tribunal hearing was told about a welter of offensive posts he shared on Facebook – also including insults at the “lazy, thick, brain dead British public” believing in “this Covid scam”.

His posts amount to “serious” misconduct which impaired his fitness to practise, the GMC has now ruled in its findings report.

His Channel 4 appearance came in 2015 when he was one of several contestants posing as fugitives trying to escape surveillance experts.

He has also appeared in an anti-vaccines YouTube video.

Dr Allen retired in 2018 after a 33-year career but returned to the NHS in March 2020 when the pandemic hit.

He worked as a primary care physician in the A&E department at the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, Kent.

A police community support officer complained to the GMC that July about his anti-vax posts and the temporary licence to practise he’d been given was revoked.

In one message he wrote: “Only a brainless half wit would contemplate having an experimental and occasionally lethal chemical irreversibly and repeatedly injected into themselves.

“There are evidently loads of such idiots about. Don’t be one of them.’

He also wrote: ‘The greater mass of the British public, the thick, lazy brain dead farm animals that they are, have lapped up this Covid scam as it’s been spoon fed to them by the media.

“They deserve all that’s coming to them. It’s natural selection at work.”

‘ABUSED HIS POSITION AS A DOCTOR’

Dr Allen, representing himself at the tribunal, admitted sharing the posts which investigators said could damage public trust and confidence in the medical profession.

His name and GMC registration number were attached to his Facebook posts, the report stated.

The tribunal also found he wrote “derogatory” comments about race, religion, immigration, same-sex relationships and transgender issues.

He used Facebook to describe Islam as “the religion for dirty old men” and “illegal aliens” as “a plague” turning French capital Paris into an “open sewer”.

He also complained that “the Scots are whinging again”, adding: “A despicable, stingy and small minded race they are. And half of’em are drug addicts.”

And he ranted that “men who live the fantasy of being a woman are perverts in the truest sense” and that Britain had “imported lots of filth into this country”.

In his evidence to the tribunal he accepted responsibility for the posts but insisted the “vast majority” of the public would agree with him, the GMC report states.

He also told of becoming increasingly concerned in 2020 about what he called the government’s “fear-mongering” pandemic response.

He also accused the GMC of “dancing to the tune of its political masters” by investigating him, the Mail reported.

But the GMC ruling found his remarks were derogatory and would damage the medical profession’s reputation.

It said: “Most members of the public would be appalled by the comments made by Dr Allen.”

His anti-vax remarks went “beyond legitimate debate” and his behaviour fell “far below the standards of conduct expected of a registered doctor”, according to the GMC report.

His “deplorable” comments about “a wide variety of people whose characteristics he disliked” amounted to “serious” misconduct, the tribunal said.

Despite not risking patient safety he “abused his position as a doctor and the trust the public placed in him”, it added.

He has a month to appeal the decision to immediately remove his name from the medical register.
