In the 15th season of the recently concluded Indian Premier League, the team of Gujarat Titans became the champions by defeating Rajasthan Royals in the final played at Ahmedabad. In the current season in the IPL, although the big star players could not perform as their name suggests, but considering the league stage of the IPL, it is clear that there are some young talented players in the country who are no less than a star player. Such players who have not played a single international match so far are called uncapped players and it can be said that the star players have faded away due to the ability shown by such uncapped players in the IPL. As usual after the completion of the league stage of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League, this year too, some young uncapped players in the IPL made the IPL memorable with their performances. At the top of these players is Tilak Verma, playing in the IPL for the first time for Mumbai Indians. Not only did he make a name for himself with his batting but he also scored for the Mumbai Indians when batsmen like Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard struggled for runs. Apart from this, Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Mohsin Khan, Umran Malik and Rinku Singh are also shining names this season.
Tilak Verma:
This season may have been the worst for the Mumbai Indians, but if there has been anything positive for them this season, it has been the batting of uncapped player Tilak Verma. He has batted in a way that he will never forget. Tilak Verma has scored 397 runs for Mumbai in 14 matches this season at an average of 36.09 and a strike rate of 131.02, with his highest score being 61. He was also one of the highest run scorers for Mumbai.
Abhishek Sharma:
The current season of IPL has not been special for Sunrisers Hyderabad either but this season Abhishek took over the responsibility of batting despite the poor form of captain Kane Williamson and gave the team a good start. Abhishek Sharma has scored 426 runs in 14 matches at an average of 30.42 and 133.12. His team Hyderabad ended the season with 6 wins in 14 matches, with Abhishek leading the team in scoring the most runs.
Rahul Tripathi:
Rahul Tripathi, known as the middle order creature for Sunrisers Hyderabad, also won the hearts of all with his batting this season. Tripathi was in fine form in the first half of the season as the Hyderabad team advanced to the playoffs after winning five matches in a row. Tripathi scored 413 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 158.23. However, even after this brilliant performance, he did not get a place in Team India.
Umran Malik:
In the Indian Premier League, Sunrisers Hyderabad may have been knocked out of the league stage, but this season has been a memorable one for their bowler Umran Malik. He has taken 22 wickets in 14 matches this season. He bowled an economy of 9.03 and took 22 wickets till the end of his team’s journey. If Sunrisers had played in the playoffs, perhaps Umran Malik could have become a Purple Cap holder. He also got a place in Team India based on his performance.
Rinku Singh:
Rinku Singh, a native of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, has made a name for himself in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was instrumental in leading his team to victory by scoring runs and Rinku, who had previously only shown his talent on the field as a substitute fielder, has now led his team to victory as a batsman.
Kumar Kartikeya:
Left-arm spinner Kumar Karthikeyan, who started playing in the IPL for Mumbai Indians, impressed in his very first match. His control and variety on the ball while bowling was highly praised by cricket experts. Just six months ago, the youngster molded himself as a finger and wrist spinner to make a successful career in T20. In his debut match, Karthikeyan conceded just 19 runs in four overs and took a crucial wicket of Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson.
