His team scored 219 runs in 47 overs. At one point New Zealand’s score was 210 for 6 but Kuldeep took the last four wickets to restrict the visitors to 219 runs. India then easily achieved the target of 222 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 34 overs.
Spinner Kuldeep Yadav took a hat-trick in this match and gave a strong reply to the selectors who kept him out of the squad for the T20 World Cup.
