New Delhi: In India (MonkeyPox) virus (Virus) is now slowly spreading its legs. As its cases are increasing in many cities, health experts are now on alert mode. Seeing its increasing threat across the world, the United Nations agency has also declared it a global epidemic. WHO has released guidelines to reduce the increasing risk of monkeypox. WHO has issued a special warning to men. These mistakes in sex increase the risk of monkeypox in men, WHO said. Along with this, WHO has advised men to take some precautions during sex.
The first case of the virus was reported in May, WHO Director-General Trados Debresus said. Subsequently, 98 percent of cases of monkeypox virus were found in gay, bisexual, and those who have sex with men. Trados advised people to take care for security. He further said that men who have sex with men should also make appropriate choices for their own safety and that of others. For which reducing the number of sexual partners is also a suitable option.
The WHO president said that those infected should isolate themselves and not go to any crowded places. No other physical contact or any other sexual partner should be made at the same time. However, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention did not comment on the reduction in the number of sexual partners. The agency has advised against skin-to-skin contact to prevent transmission of monkeypox.
According to the WHO, monkeypox can be transmitted through contact with a victim, as well as anyone who comes into contact with the victim’s clothing and bedsheets. The health agency has warned that immunocompromised or pregnant women should be especially careful. N. D. Sill, consultant to WHO, said that it is not possible to come to a definite conclusion that monkeypox is spread through sex.
Can condom use reduce transmission?
Sill said in this context that the talk of reducing the number of gay and bisexual rapists is coming from his own community. These talks went on for a few days. However, we hope that the outbreak of this virus should subside. Sill said it’s not yet definitively clear whether condom use can reduce or prevent transmission. Because monkeypox is spread through physical contact like herpes. Greater proximity can be said to be one of the main reasons when building physical relationships.
