Kabul: (Kabul) 21 people have been killed in an explosion in a mosque in Khair Khana area of Kabul. A Taliban police spokesman in the Afghan capital, Kabul, said Thursday that the death toll from a bomb attack on a mosque had risen to 21. Another 33 people were injured in the attack. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack took place in Kabul’s Sar-e-Kotal Khair Khana. The maulvi of the mosque, Amir Mohammad Kabuli, has also died. However, the security officials have not yet made any statement regarding this. The Taliban army also reached the place of the incident. The Taliban has blamed terrorist organization ISIS for several recent explosions.
According to local media reports, the blast took place in the Sar-e-Kotal Khairkhana area of Kabul city. Kabul security department spokesman Khalid Zadran said the army has reached the area. Kabul’s Emergency Hospital reported on Twitter that 27 people injured in the blast have arrived at the hospital. At the same time, 5 children including a 7-year-old child were among the injured. Groups linked to the Islamic State group in the country have been blamed for such attacks. Pictures of an Islamic cleric, Amir Mohammad Kabuli, are going viral on social media claiming that he was killed in the blast.
On the first anniversary of the re-occupation of Afghanistan, Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaki appealed to the international community to support the Taliban government. Muttaki said that we should all work together to take advantage of this opportunity. Muttaki highlighted the Doha agreement and said that Afghanistan is not a threat to any country including America.
The blast took place in a mosque belonging to the Shia community
Eight people were killed and 18 others injured when a vehicle exploded in the Afghan capital during the Shia community’s mourning in the month of Muharram. The explosion took place near a mosque in Sarkarij area of Kabul. IS claimed responsibility for the blast.

IS said in its statement that 20 people were killed and wounded. This area is one of the congested areas of Kabul.
Earlier, the terrorist group Islamic State had also claimed responsibility for the attack on the Gurdwara. In a statement posted on the militant group’s website Amaq, the Islamic State-affiliated Islamic State-Khorasan Province (ISKP) said the attack was against Hindus, Sikhs and non-religious people. who collaborated in insulting the Messenger of Allah.
