Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to organize the Pakistan Junior League but none of its six teams has found a buyer. The board announced on Tuesday that the first Pakistan Junior League will be played as per pre-scheduled schedule and all team management will be handled by the PCB itself. The board also confirmed that Pakistan’s Majived Miandad will be the mentor of the league. Apart from him, Vivian Richards, Imran Tahir, Darren Sammy, Colin Munro, Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik will play the role of guiding the teams. The board had earlier announced bidding for all the six teams but none bid at the price fixed by the PCB.
We know this is the first Junior T20 International League and of course the sponsors and bidders were a little scared but PCB believes that after a few seasons this league will be very successful commercially as well, said PCB sources.
Pakistan organized a junior league at a huge cost, but no one showed interest in buying the six teams
