New Delhi: The Indian women’s cricket team has faced its first defeat in the Asia Cup 2022. In the match played between Pakistan and Team India in Asia Cup 2022, the Indian women’s cricket team had to face defeat. The Indian women’s cricket team had previously won three consecutive matches in the Asia Cup 2022, but the Indian batting was a complete flop in this match.
Indian batting failed
Batting first in this match, the Pakistan team scored 137 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 6 wickets, in response to which Team India was bowled out for 124 runs. Nida Dar played a half century innings
Despite Nida Dar’s unbeaten half-century, the Pakistani team could only manage 137 for six against India in the Women’s Asia Cup T20 cricket match here on Friday. But this innings of Nida Dar fell heavily on Team India. However, it was an improved performance by the Pakistani batsmen against arch-rivals India. They suffered an upset after losing to Thailand on Thursday. Nida used his feet well, especially against the spinners. He scored an unbeaten 56 in his 37-ball innings with the help of five fours and one six. Apart from that, Pakistan captain Bismah Maruf contributed 32 runs. The two also played a vital partnership of 76 runs off 58 balls.
Deepti Sharma took three wickets
Deepti Sharma was the most successful of the Indian bowlers, taking three wickets for 27 runs in four overs. Deepti first stumped Pakistan opener Muniba Ali (17 runs) and then two balls later Omema Sohil was out leg before for a nil. Bismah was also lucky on eight when the umpire dismissed Rajeshwari Gaikwad’s appeal for leg-before. She was looking feet first. Pakistan scored 61 runs for three wickets in 10 overs. Nida provided some momentum to the innings, hitting a four and a six off De Hamalta to score 15 runs in the over. Apart from Deepti, Pooja Vastrakar took two wickets and Renuka Singh took one wicket.
