Mumbai: Indian fast bowler Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the remaining two matches of the ongoing ODI series against South Africa. Chahar got injured after the third and final T20 international match against South Africa in Indore. Because of this, he was not included in India’s playing eleven for the first ODI in Lucknow. BCCI has given information about this by publishing a press release.
Deepak Chahar will now return to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) where the medical team will monitor him. Washington Sundar has been included in the squad for the remaining two ODIs against South Africa in place of Deepak Chahar. India will play the second ODI in Ranchi on October 9. Meanwhile, the last match of the series is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on 11 October 2022.
