Peru: A serious accident occurred when a LATAM Airlines plane carrying 106 passengers collided with a fire truck during takeoff on the runway of Jorge Chavez International Airport (Peru Lima Airport Plane Accident) in Lima, Peru. Immediately after the collision, the plane caught fire. There were 106 passengers and crew members on board the plane when the accident took place. There was chaos at the airport following the incident.
According to reports, two people died in the accident. The details of the fire fighters who lost their lives are scarce. Thankfully, all 106 passengers and 6 crew members on board the plane are safe. The company, a partner in the work at Lima’s Jorge Chavez Airport, said in a tweet that for the time being, operations at the site have been suspended.

Luis Ponce La Jara, general commander of the fire department, said that when the plane collided with the truck, two firefighters were killed and one was injured. The plane and the truck collided while moving on the runway. The incident occurred when LATAM Airlines flight LA2213, an Airbus A320neo, took off from Lima’s main airport to the Peruvian city of Juliaca.
