The decision to restore the account was made by the company’s new owner, Elon Musk, after his own online poll. The poll was conducted by Musk via his Twitter account. More than 1.5 crore people have voted in this poll. Of those, 51.8 percent supported restoring Trump’s account. At the same time, 48.2 percent advocated not reopening the account.
