Beijing: (Beijing) The cases of corona virus (Corona Virus) have started increasing in China (China) once again. The situation has worsened to such an extent that last week three people died in the capital Beijing for the first time in six months. This shows that China’s strict Zero Covid Policy has also failed to stop Corona. The situation has returned to normal regarding the corona virus all over the world. But China is the world’s last major economy still following austerity policies. China has suddenly announced lockdown in many cities. Along with this, a system of mass testing and quarantine has been implemented. The National Health Commission reported on Sunday that 26,824 infections have been reported in China in the past 24 hours.
The whole world has learned to cope with Kovid-19. But China’s situation has not improved yet. China officially reported the death of an 87-year-old man on Sunday. 962 new cases of corona virus were seen in Beijing on Monday. A day before that, 621 cases were reported. The National Health Commission reported on Sunday that 26,824 infections have been reported in China in the past 24 hours. These transits are equivalent to April. In Beijing, schools in several districts have begun teaching students online.
China has the largest population in the world but officially has fewer cases of corona than other countries. A few months after infection there is a sudden increase in cases. The increase in Corona cases is being seen at a time when China announced relaxation in the rules related to Kovid-19 on November 11. The relaxation also included a decision to remove mandatory quarantine after international travel.
Mall and restaurant closed
Many cities in China canceled mass corona testing after the announcement, as they hoped the situation would return to normal. However, this relaxation is not being seen as the end of the Zero Covid policy. China’s zero covid policy has set it apart from the rest of the world. Due to which its economy has also suffered. The Chinese government has prevented citizens from moving from one district to another. Many shopping malls in Beijing were closed on Sunday. On the other hand many malls have reduced their opening hours. Many restaurants have also eliminated sit-down dining facilities.
China implemented lockdown
Chaoyang District officials have asked companies to allow their employees to work from home. Some parks and gyms are also closed. Almost all Asian stock markets saw a sharp decline on Monday due to the new corona restrictions in Beijing. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index fell about 2 percent. In China’s Guangzhou, 8 thousand cases of Corona are being seen every day due to which the government has imposed a five-day lockdown in Baiyun district.
