New Delhi: There has been a big crisis on the Test series between England and Pakistan starting from December 1. A day before the match, a total of 14 members of the team, including England captain Ben Stokes, have fallen victim to the enigmatic virus. This news has come out a day before the Test match to be played in Rawalpindi. Half of the 14 infected members are players and staff members. England have sent 15 players to Pakistan for the three-Test series, almost half of them suffering from infections. It is not yet clear how the first Test match will be played in such a situation.
According to the report, the condition of the England team has deteriorated to such an extent that only 5 players could make it to the practice session a day before the match and all the rest remained sick. There is no word yet on which virus the England players have contracted. It could be Corona or any other unknown virus.
Significantly, international cricket has returned to Pakistan after a long time, with England also arriving in Pakistan after many decades to participate in a Test series. This is the reason why this series is being highlighted a lot by PCB. Many big players of England, former cricketers and commentators have also reached Pakistan for this series. England also announced their playing XI for the first Test, with Liam Livingstone set to make his debut.
