The Hockey World Cup will be played in India from January 13 next year. India is all set for Hockey World Cup 2023. The tournament will see 16 elite hockey teams from around the world in action. This match will be played in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. As the time for the FIH Odisha Hockey World Cup 2023 approaches, the excitement among hockey fans across the world is at its peak. The enthusiasm of the hockey fans is so high that tickets have been booked for all the matches in the stadium. In all the matches in which India will play, the stadium is already full house.
These teams will participate in the Hockey World Cup
India, Australia, Belgium, Netherlands, Argentina, Germany, New Zealand, England, France, Korea, Malaysia, Spain, South Africa, Japan, Chile and Wales.
An exciting world hockey match will be played in Rourkela for the first time. People are ready to cheer the players here. On December 19, a large number of people thronged outside the newly constructed Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium to buy tickets. All the stadium tickets were sold out within a week. A total of 20 matches will be held at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela which can seat over 20,000 people. Bhubaneswar, on the other hand, has the iconic Kalinga Hockey Stadium. Its seating capacity is more than 15,000. FIH Odisha will host 24 matches including the final of the Hockey World Cup 2023 including cross-overs, quarter-finals, semi-finals. The ticket price for Indian matches in which India will play is 200 and 500 rupees while the ticket price for the match in which the Indian team is not playing is 100 and 200 rupees.
Let it be known that the Indian men’s hockey team, which has been placed in Pool D with Spain, will begin its campaign against Spain in Rourkela on January 13. After playing the first match of the tournament against Spain, the Indian team will play against England on January 15 in Rourkela. Then on January 19, the final group match of the Indian team against Wales will take place in Bhubaneswar.
