New Delhi: There has been a big controversy in the ongoing second Test match between India and Australia in Delhi. Questions are being raised on the manner in which Virat Kohli, the former captain of the Indian team, was dismissed. Not only the fans but also Virat Kohli and the management of Team India looked totally desperate for this wicket. In the 50th over of India’s innings, when Matthew Cunheim bowled the ball to Virat Kohli, the ball hit the pads. The umpire gave him out, but Virat Kohli later reviewed it. The review also did not find anything obvious on the wicket, but due to the umpires’ call, Virat Kohli was given out.
When the third umpire dismissed Virat Kohli, he was furious and returned to the pavilion in protest. The management of Team India sitting in the dressing room was also not happy with this decision, coach Rahul Dravid and batting coach Vikram Rathore were also not happy with the decision of the third umpire.

Australian spinner Kuhnmann bowled an arm ball, which Virat Kohli played straight to. He was defending, during which the ball hit the bat-pad. The on-field umpire gave Virat Kohli out, but Virat said his bat hit first and the ball hit the pad later. Virat Kohli took the review here, when the replay was shown it also felt that the ball hit the bat first. In review it was called an umpire’s call, in which case the third umpire upheld the on-field umpire’s decision to dismiss.
There was a lot of uproar over this wicket of Virat Kohli, even the veterans questioned giving out like this. Wasim Jaffer tweeted that he was unhittable for him, as he never felt that the ball had hit the bat first. Let us tell you that on the second day of the Delhi Test, Team India was batting and here the batting unit was looking completely out of form. Except Virat Kohli, no batsman could play a long innings.
