New Delhi: For the Border Gavaskar Trophy (Border Gavaskar Trophy), Team India has been announced for the ODI series in addition to the remaining Test matches. The last two Test matches of the trophy are to be played against Australia in Indore and Ahmedabad. And then the final and third Test will start on March 1 and the fourth Test will be played from March 9. Then the three-match ODI series will start from March 17 to March 22. Team India’s Test and ODI squads for all matches have been announced. The Indian team will play the last two Test matches against Australia with the same squad with the only addition of Jaydev Undkat who was released before the second Test for the Ranji final.
For these reasons, Hardik Pandya will be the captain for Team India
On the other hand, many big changes have been seen in the team in the ODI series matches as well. Ravindra Jadeja is back in this team. Along with this, the most important thing is that Jaydev Undkat has also been included in the ODI team after a long time. Apart from this, even though Sanju Samson is fit, he has not got a place in this team. Hardik Pandya has been made the vice-captain. Apart from this, there will be absence of Rohit Sharma in the first ODI due to which Hardik will be seen captaining. That is, it will be the first time that an experienced player like Virat Kohli will play an ODI under Hardik’s captaincy.
Jaydev Undkat returned to the team
Jaydev Undkat had already got a place in the Test team but now he has been included in the ODI team as well. He last played a T20 International in 2016 against Bangladesh. And played an ODI match against West Indies in 2013. His outstanding performance in India’s domestic cricket has resulted in him being included in the red ball as well as white ball cricket team.
