Ahmedabad: India’s star batsman (Batsman) Virat Kohli admitted in a conversation with the team’s head coach Rahul Dravid that for a long time I was constantly troubled by not making any concrete contribution to the team. He said that in his eagerness to score a big Test century, I let expectations get the better of me. Kohli ended his more than three-year Test century drought by scoring 186 runs in the fourth Test against Australia. This was his 28th Test career and 75th international century overall.
Kohli said, “To be honest, I let trouble get the better of me because of my shortcomings.” The eagerness to reach three figures in cricket is something that can make you better as a batsman. He added that I am not a player who is happy with 40-45 runs. I take great pride in performing for the team. Virat Kohli further said that when I am batting at 40, I know I can score 150 runs. But it was constantly bothering me that this did not happen.
When Dravid asked him how difficult it is to face these adverse times, Kohli replied that if I tell you the truth, it becomes a bit difficult because the moment you step out of the hotel room, from outsiders to those present in the lift. Everyone, even the bus driver, says we want a century from your bat.
Rahul Dravid told Kohli, You made us wait a long time for the century, but it felt good to enjoy it.

You made me wait for a long time, but it was a privilege to see the way you progressed through the innings. Rahul Dravid said, ‘I have seen him as a player. In the last 15-16 months since I got the coaching job, I have enjoyed his centuries with the bat in T20 Internationals and ODIs. Also seen many centuries of it on television. But I was eager to enjoy his Test century from the dressing room.
