New Delhi: Former captain of the Indian team Mahendra Singh Dhoni may have retired from international cricket two and a half years ago, but his earnings have not decreased in any way. Dhoni has led the Indian team to ODI World Cup 2011 and T20 World Cup 2007 under his captaincy. Dhoni is currently playing in the IPL and is also the captain of the Chennai Super Kings team. At the age of 41, Dhoni has shown his mettle by hitting 2 sixes in 2 balls in the last over against Lucknow Supergiants.
38 crores advance tax deposited
Now Dhoni has become the highest tax payer in his state Jharkhand as well. This is not the first time Dhoni has achieved this feat. According to the Income Tax Department, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has consistently been the highest income tax payer in Jharkhand since his entry into international cricket. Dhoni has paid an advance tax of Rs 38 crore in the financial year 2022-23 that ended on March 31. Dhoni paid the same amount of advance tax in 2021-22 as well. According to reports, Dhoni’s net worth this year is around 1030 rupees. His monthly earnings are approximately 4 crore rupees.
Dhoni has investments in many companies
A large part of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s earnings comes from his investments in different companies. Dhoni has invested in several companies including Homelane, Cars 24, Khatabuk. He owns about 43 acres of agricultural land in Ranchi. Based on this year’s advance tax, it is estimated that his earnings have remained almost the same in the last 2 years. Despite retiring from international cricket on 15 August 2020, Dhoni’s earnings have not gone down.
Dhoni’s earnings increased after retirement
In 2020-21, Mahendra Singh Dhoni deposited Rs 30 crore as advance tax. According to experts, from the advance tax of 38 crores, it can be estimated that Dhoni’s earnings will be around 130 crores. In 2019-20, Dhoni deposited an advance tax of Rs 28 crore, which was equal to the advance tax of 2018-2019. Earlier, Dhoni had deposited an advance tax of Rs 12.17 crore in 2017-18 and Rs 10.93 crore in 2016-17.
