Hyderabad: In the 25th match of the 16th season of the IPL played here today, after Tilak Verma’s big burst, Cameron Green’s explosive batting in the last overs helped Mumbai Indians to 192 for 5 in 20 overs against the target of 193 runs set by Arjun Tendulkar, and Sunrisers Hyderabad were bowled out for 178 runs thanks to an impressive final over by Arjun Tendulkar. Indians won by 14 runs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a poor start and lost 2 wickets for 25 runs. However, after that there was a quick partnership of 46 runs between Mayank Agarwal and Aden Markram. With Markram out for 22 off 17 balls and Abhishek Sharma also getting out immediately, Sunrisers’ score was 72 for 4. Mayank and Henrik Klaassen had a quick partnership of 55 runs and when Klaassen was dismissed for 36 runs off 16 balls, the team’s score was 127 runs for 5 wickets. After that Sunrisers lost three more wickets due to the pressure of increasing run rate. 20 runs were to be scored in the final over and Arjun Tendulkar dismissed Bhuvneshwar Kumar for just four runs with a wide in that over.
Losing the toss and batting first, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan gave Mumbai Indians a good start. Rohit, however, was dismissed for 28 off 18 balls and Ishan for 38 off 31 balls. While Suryakumar was dismissed for only 7 runs. Tilak scored 37 runs off 17 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 2 fours and shared a 56-run partnership with Green. After he was dismissed, Green bowled strongly in the final overs to take Mumbai Indians to 192 for 5 in 20 overs. Green was not out by scoring 64 runs in 40 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes.
