Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be under pressure in the IPL tomorrow when they take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at their home ground, Thursday. Both teams are at the bottom of the table and a defeat would seriously dent their chances of play-off qualification.
Sunrisers have done well by bringing back Abhishek Sharma to open and will now hope for the same from their other opener Mayank Agarwal. Overall the batting has not clicked for Sunrisers and hence it is no surprise that they find themselves in a desperate position in the second half of the tournament. While Mayank Agarwal has been underperforming at the top, Rahul Tripathi at number three has also failed to perform well. Skipper Aidan Markram will have to understand the responsibility. Harry Brook has returned to the middle order after failing to score a century and the team management will be hoping for him.
Fast bowler Umran Malik has the worst economy rate among the bowlers and has taken just five wickets in seven matches, contributing to the team’s woes. KKR will also expect more rhythm from their batsmen as they look to get their campaign back on track after six defeats in nine matches.
