Hyderabad: Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 7 wickets with the help of young Gujarati batsman Prerak Mankad’s 64 not out in 45 balls, Marcus Stoinis’ 40 runs and Nicholas Pooran’s 44 not out in 13 balls in the first match of the IPL double header played here on Saturday. Defeated and strengthened his position. Hyderabad looked to be winning the match till the 12th over, but Marcus Stoinis and young motivator Mankad put on a 73-run partnership to turn the tide.
After Stoinis was dismissed for 40 off 25 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes, Poore ran riot and Lucknow won with four balls to spare.
