New Delhi: 11 racers were killed and nine people were injured in firing during a car racing show in Baja California, North Mexico. The state attorney general’s office said the attack happened during an all-terrain car racing show in the San Vicente area of the city of Ensenada. This firing took place between drug mafias. According to Reuters, the attackers arrived in a gray van. At that time, the racers who participated in the race were standing at the gas station. The attackers then started firing at the racers. Following the attack, teams from the state police, marines, fire brigade and Mexican Red Cross rushed to the scene.
Mayor Armando Ayala Robles said state Attorney General Ricardo Ivan Carpio-Sanchez had formed a special team to investigate the shooting. However, the identities of the victims have not been released yet. The Mexican Red Cross transported the injured to hospitals in northern Baja California, Fox 8 reported.
