In fact, they believe they know better than God. They can sit down and have a conversation with God and explain to Him what is going on. Of course, our Prime Minister is also one such specimen.”
Speaking at the ‘Mohabbat Ki Shop’ event organized by the Indian Overseas Congress USA, Gandhi also took a clear jab at the Modi government, saying that these people “totally agree” that they know everything and can explain history to historians, science to scientists and war to the military. . “There is a group of people in India who are absolutely convinced that they know everything. They believe that they know more than God. “They can sit with God and explain what is going on. And of course, our Prime Minister is also one such specimen. If you sit Modiji with God, he will explain to God how the universe works and God will be confused as to what I have created,” he said amid bursts of laughter from the audience.
Targeting the government, Gandhi said that the poor and minority communities feel helpless in India today. “The new Parliament building is a distraction. BJP can’t really discuss these issues so they have to do the scepter thing. Sleeping and doing all that. Aren’t you glad I’m not sleeping?. “
