New Delhi: A Khap Panchayat was held in Sonepat on Saturday in a dispute between Wrestlers and former WFI President Brij Bhushan. Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia had reached this panchayat. Both told the Khap delegates about the meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur.

Meanwhile, witness Malik said, “We are constantly receiving threatening calls. A compromise is being asked. If you don’t settle, the whole career will end. While we have been saying since day one that Brij Bhushan should be taken into custody. If he stays out other people will be pressured. The girl is broken by the POCSO Act. Gradually more girls will break. We will play the Asian Games only when the whole matter is resolved.” Also, Bajrang said that the government is not ready to arrest Brij Bhushan. The Center has given time till June 15. If no action is taken, another dharna will be held to arrest Brijbhushan. The venue of the protest has not been decided yet and may be Jantar-Mantar or Ram Leela Maidan.
Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik said that efforts are being made to break the victims. Wrestler Sakshi Malik said on Saturday that he and other wrestlers will participate in the Asian Games only after the issues they are facing are resolved. Malik was hinting at his issues surrounding the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and its president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
