IND vs AUS WTC Final 2023: Australia has won the World Test Championship 2023 final by defeating India. Australia beat India by 209 runs. The Australian team scored 469 runs in their first innings. After which India scored only 296 runs in the first innings. Because of this, the Australian team got a lead of 173 runs. Then in the second innings, the Indian bowlers were ineffective and Australia declared their bet on 270 runs. Australia had given India a target of 444 runs to win the final of the World Test Championship 2023. In response, Team India was bowled out for just 234 runs.
Once again the Indian team’s dream of becoming the world champion in England was shattered. Australia defeated the Indian team by 209 runs at the Oval and became the world champions in Tests for the first time. With this they became the first team to win the World Championship in all formats of ODI, T20 and Test i.e. international cricket. India scored 280 runs on the final day with 5 wickets remaining. But Virat Kohli and Jadeja were bowled in the same over and after that the Indian cricket team’s dream was shattered. The last time India was defeated by New Zealand was in England.
On the fourth day of the historic Test, the Indian team scored 164 runs for 3 wickets. Virat Kohli was out after scoring 44 runs while Ajinkya Rahane was at the crease after scoring 20 runs. India needed 280 runs when the 5-day game started, while Australia set a huge target of 444 runs. Time was plentiful on the last day and India had 7 wickets in hand. It was expected that former captain and former vice-captain duo Virat Kohli and Rahane would pull off some miracle, but it didn’t happen.
