New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday filed two charge sheets against BJP MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh in the case of sexual abuse of minor female wrestlers. In which a charge sheet was filed based on the complaint made by 6 women wrestlers. While the second charge sheet has been filed in the Patiala court based on the complaint of minor women wrestlers. On Thursday, Delhi Police gave a clean cheat to Brijbhushan regarding the allegations made by minor women wrestlers.
On April 21, 7 women wrestlers filed a sexual harassment complaint against Brijbhushan with the Delhi Police. In this matter, Delhi Police registered two cases against Brijbhushan on April 28. The first case was registered on the complaint of 6 women wrestlers while another case was registered under the POSCO Act based on the complaint of minor women wrestlers. On 11 June, the Delhi Police asked the wrestlers to produce photos and audio chats of sexual harassment they had received from women wrestlers accusing Brij Bhushan. However, when the wrestlers presented their evidence, the Delhi Police said that this evidence was not enough.
6 What allegations did the adult woman wrestler make in her complaint?
First complaint– Called me to his table during dinner at the hotel restaurant and touched me from chest to stomach. My knees, shoulders and palms were touched in the office of the wrestling federation without my permission. He also planted his feet along with mine.
Another complaint– When I was sleeping on the mat, Brijbhushan Singh came to me. My coach was not there at that time. Took off my t-shirt without my permission, put his hand on my chest to check my breathing and slid his hand down there. I was with my brother in the federation office. I was called to the office and my brother asked me to stay outside and then tried to force me by dragging me into the room.
Third complaint– He asked me to talk to my parents on phone as I didn’t have my mobile phone at that time. Brijbhushan called me towards his bed where he was sitting and then suddenly without my permission he embraced me. He even tried to bribe me by offering to buy supplements to satisfy his sexual desires.
Fourth complaint – Brijbhushan Singh called me and pulled my t-shirt and slid it down my stomach. He put his hand on my navel under the pretense of checking my breathing.
Fifth complaint– I was behind the line then touched wrongly, when I tried to move away, grabbed my shoulder.
Sixth complaint– If he put his hand on my shoulder on the pretext of taking a photo, I objected.
Underage female wrestlers filed another statement alleging discrimination, denying allegations of sexual harassment
Brijbhushan, the minor female wrestler who filed the sexual harassment case, changed her statement. In the first statement, the minor female wrestler accused Brij Bhushan of sexual harassment, after which she filed her second statement in which she accused the former president of the wrestling association of discrimination. Nowhere in this statement did he mention sexual harassment. Regarding this, the father of the minor female wrestler said that the case was done out of anger. They claimed that Brijbhushan and the Indian Wrestling Federation had committed bias during the selection of wrestlers in the Asia Championship.
