New Delhi: Today is the second day of PM Modi’s America tour. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Washington DC and received a rousing welcome when he reached the White House. Huge preparations were made for his reception. US Vice President Kamala Harris, Foreign Minister Antony Blinken and many big leaders were present outside the White House to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, PA Modi said in his address that after becoming the PM, I have visited the White House many times. This is the first time that the White House doors have been opened to such a large Indian-American community. PM Modi said that three decades ago he came to America as a common citizen and saw the White House from outside. Modi said that 140 crore citizens of India feel honored and proud today by the grand reception at the White House.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a guard of honor on his arrival at the White House in Washington DC. Apart from this, Americans of Indian origin also flocked to see him outside the White House. Indian students also played the violin before PM Modi entered the White House. A bilateral meeting between PM Modi and US President Joe Biden is going to take place here.
The White House said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden will hold a press conference after the bilateral meeting and answer questions from the media. White House national security spokesman John Kirby called the joint press briefing a “big deal.” According to Reuters, Kirby said – “We are grateful that Prime Minister Modi will attend the press conference at the end of the visit.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released a video message for the G-20 summit of US education ministers.
