IN AN ATTEMPT to refresh her look, one woman decided to skip going to the hairdressers and cut her own mane… but it came out horribly wrong.
Taking to her social media, Emily started by putting her hair into a ponytail before taking out strands at the front of her face.

She attempted to give herself a fringe[/caption]
Trolls said she should have wet her hair first[/caption]
She then used a pink brush to smooth it all out before getting a pair of kitchen scissors to cut out a fringe.
Holding her brunette hair to be completely level, she chopped off a significant amount of hair – occasionally looking at the camera to make sure she was doing it correctly.
But once she was done, she was left in complete shock at the results as one side of her hair was much longer than the other.
Covering her mouth with her hand, she couldn’t help but giggle as she looked at her reflection.
People were quick to flock to the comments section to share their thoughts on her ordeal as many said she made a key mistake.
“WHY DIDNT YOU WET THEM,” one person said.
A second shared: “Use water to get it straight and use a special scissor to cut in a good line”.
A third wrote: “wet your hair,” followed by three clapping hands emojis.
And a fourth added: “Firstly you needa wet it and those scissors dont look like hairdressing scissors.”
Others, meanwhile, couldn’t help but comment on how painful it was to just watch the video she posted.
“That was painful,” one person said.
Another shared: “As a hairdresser, I don’t know what you expected to happen.” alongside a crying with laughter emoji.
A third posted: “people after cutting their bangs and not realizing they have to style it,” as a fourth said: “girl what were you thinking,” with a crying emoji.
Another person wrote: “this is literally so easy to fix back into bangs.”
