Spain: Scientists have found floating gold worth 4 crore 46 lakh rupees on the coast of Spain’s Canary Island located near the African coast in the Atlantic Ocean. A huge whale fish carcass was found on the coast of the Canary Islands. When scientists looked at it, they did not know that there could be a priceless treasure hidden inside its intestines. When the scientists did the postmortem of this whale fish, their joy was beyond measure. They have found whale vomit inside the intestine which is called ‘floating gold’.

The scientists said that due to strong waves and tides inside the sea, they faced a lot of difficulty in the post-mortem. Antonio Fernández Rodríguez, head of the Animal Health and Food Security Institute at the University of Las Palmas, said a postmortem examination revealed a very hard object stuck. Its weight was 9.5 kg. It was actually whale vomit. It is very rare. Hence it is called floating gold. It is often referred to as floating gold due to its rarity. It is used in making expensive and special perfumes. It is said that this floating gold is found in only 1 in 100 sperm whales.
