In their final match of the Super Sixes, the Netherlands registered an emphatic win against Scotland. In this match, Scotland set a target of 278 runs to win the Netherlands. The Dutch team needed to win this match in 44 overs to qualify. Basse de Lied’s brilliant century saw the Netherlands achieve the target with the loss of 6 wickets in just 42.5 overs and book a place in the main round of the World Cup 2023. The Netherlands have made it to the main round of the World Cup after 12 years. Earlier in 2011, the Dutch team played in the World Cup jointly organized by India.
