FORMER Wales rugby star Josh Navidi has found not one but TWO new careers since hanging up his boots last year.
The ex-flanker and No8, 33, was forced to retire from the sport in April 2023 after suffering a horror neck injury during an international match against South Africa 10 months earlier.
He now runs a car dealership after building a reputation through buying and selling his own vehicles[/caption]
He won two Six Nations titles with Wales – including a Grand Slam – as well as two Challenge Cups.
Navidi made 33 appearances for his country, while he also earned two caps for the British & Irish Lions and 184 for Cardiff.
And when his career was brutally cut short at the age of just 32, many sports stars would have been unsure what was next.
But Navidi has swiftly pursued two new ventures as he begins life after rugby.
One of those has seen him cross paths with his old sport as he turned his hand to DJing.
The former Wales man could be seen performing at the Principality Stadium as part of the Nations Series last summer.
And he has also shared pictures of him DJing in clubs around Wales as he dips his toe into the world of music.
But that is not the only pursuit Navidi has undertaken as he has started a new full-time job as a car dealer in Barry alongside close friend Jack Wilkins.
And in an interview last year, he revealed the venture stemmed from him buying and selling vehicles of his own.
Speaking to WalesOnline, he said: “It started off with me just buying my own cars, driving them, and then selling them the next year because I’ve always been a petrol head.
“I’ve always had sporty cars but now I go for stuff with less fuel, and I’ve always changed my cars every year.
“I started going to auctions for my own stuff and then boys were asking me what’s the best VIP deal with all these lease deals that we get offered.
“I was advising some of the Cardiff boys for years on how to get the best deals for cars, and some boys were asking for cars you couldn’t get on the VIP scheme.
“They wanted all sorts like performance cars and one thing led to another.
“Boys started asking about finance and then it led me down that path, then into warranties, and then we would just meet people day to day.
“Now we have got a forecourt, and we are a car dealership which buys and sells cars.
“We are open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, but we take appointments in the evenings, and on the weekend.”
