Bharuch: (Bharuch) The Narmada Maiya Bridge connecting Bharuch-Ankleshwar has been in danger of blackout for three consecutive days. The construction of the Narmada Maiya Bridge between Ankleshwar and Bharuch has been going on for almost 6 months now. However, even before this, the light was off at night once.
- Blackout on the Narmada Maiya Bridge, which was opened only six months ago
- As the lights have been off for three days, the drivers have been killed and the lights have been turned on immediately
Accidents are also increasing day by day due to increasing load of vehicles on Narmada Maiya Bridge in Bharuch. The lights on the bridge have been shut down for three days in a row. The lack of lights on this bridge, popularly known as the accident zone, seems to be inviting more accidents. At that time, there was a demand among the locals that the lights which were turned off by the system should be turned on immediately.
Demand for construction of service road on Bharuch District National Highway
Bharuch: Complaints are being raised in the minds of the people that whenever the National Highway was constructed in Bharuch district by the National Highway Authority, the people of the surrounding rural areas were used for transportation. The former construction committee chairman of Bharuch district panchayat has once again made representations to the state BJP president in this regard.
Naresh Patel, former chairman of Bharuch district panchayat construction committee and former sarpanch of Zadeshwar, has recently introduced to state BJP president CR Patil that Bharuch district is an industrial hub. From Haldarva-Kavitha and Osara villages in Bharuch district to Angareshwar, workers use two-wheelers. All these workers are moving on two wheelers and they have to drive on the wrong side in areas like Wadi Hotel of Nyaymandir Hotel Patel in which many accidents have taken place and many have been killed so far. The highest number of accidents has been reported near Vaddala village crossing. There is a government road from Srinathji Tower to Nyayamandir Hotel. Which leaves the Swaminarayan temple and goes directly to the village of Haldarva. If it can be made safer then the people of 20 villages can benefit from this road.
