Qtouch de Mexico, a multi-national electronics brand, donated laptops and educational devices to the state government for a public literacy initiative (EDUCAFIN) during covid, upholding its socially responsible corporate values.

With the virus outbreak, online education was the only viable option for students; however, most remained deprived because of no access to smart devices. The senior management at QTouch couldn’t overlook the situation and came forward to give a helping hand to those in dire need. The company donated laptops and other electronic devices to the state government to alleviate the students’ suffering.

As per the Executive Marketing Director of QTouch, “Any donation from a private or public entity to serve such a cause is commendable.”

He further added,

“We’re not here to say that public organizations have failed miserably in addressing this gap between students and educational tech. But, it’s important to highlight that state government is often confined to do less, perhaps because of the scarcity of resources.”

He remarked that,

“Coming forward as a tech brand and making education more accessible is indispensable to give back to society as a socially responsible company.”

The fact that Qtouch has been awarded as one of the top 10 private label companies in the consumer electronics domain only next to Samsung, Apple, and LG, speaks volumes of the brand’s prowess in launching cutting-edge electronic devices.

As per GFK, QTouch ranked as one of the top 10 brands in Brazil in consumer electronics for 2017-2018.

GFK is a globally renowned AI-driven Business intelligence platform boasting over 1.6 billion USD in revenue, offering consultancy services to leaders of the consumer products market.

QTouch has grown tremendously as an electronic giant recently, particularly in LATAM. Undoubtedly, the management team has been impeccable in aligning the work culture and customer values and delivering consistently above and beyond customers’ expectations. Owing to outstanding performance, Qtouch has also risen as one of the most renowned companies in Mexico. The brand is eyeing to progress smoothly in the emerging market, following its success in Brazil and Poland.

Jolann Jiao, the founder of Qtouch, holds a Master of Science degree. In 2011, She became known for her remarkable leadership style that led QTouch to become a multi-national business expanding across North and South America. In a press conference on the growth of the IoT market, she expressed her views;

“We started with nothing, but a few people, a small office, and undying determination to do something amazing! When we started, we did not know that we would grow into something of such potential to compete with top electronics brands today. Presently, we’re eyeing more growth in the IoT segment, particularly virtual reality, which is ground-breaking and offers a lot of potential to its entrants. We want to make tech easily accessible and as much as beneficial for everyone.”

QTouch’s charitable endeavour directed at a global cause of education speaks volumes of the company’s commitment to upholding its corporate social responsibility. It is no doubt that while donating to an educational cause, QTouch has set a standard for promoting technology as primarily a medium for learning and reaching underprivileged groups who desire to learn but lack access. The above act conveys a powerful message that business entities are vital members of society. They can go out of their way to empower the disadvantaged to improve the community’s well-being. Truly, this act is nothing less than an indication for companies to follow suit and empowers those giving back to the community without expecting reciprocation.
