Surat: The second edition of Startup Summit Twenty1 by Seventy Two organized by IVY Growth Associates, a leading startup ecosystem enabler based in Surat, has been a grand success. Over ten thousand visitors arrived on the final day of the summit and over 16,000 visitors over the three days. While as many as 25 startups pitched before the investors who came in three days and the investors also showed interest and invested 15 crore rupees in different startups. Meanwhile, Aman Gupta and Ghazal Algh, co-founders of Shark Tank fame and Bot, were present and told about their experience and strategy. Ghazal said that when MamaEarth started, it was making products for small children. Then started making products for mothers and now makes products for everyone. Currently more than three thousand employees are working in his company.
Talking about women entrepreneurs, he said that compared to the year 2016, the number of women entrepreneurs has increased drastically. Then no one should leave his goal unfulfilled. If you stick to it, you will definitely get success. He further said that one should do something for the country and society. That’s why I spend some of my earnings on tree plantation and aim to create Mama Earth Forest in the future. Along with this, he also answered people’s questions. Out of 25 startups selected for pitching, 10 startups pitched on Saturday and rest on Sunday. In which four startups from Surat were involved. Also, around 80 startup stalls were also the center of attraction for the visitors.
Apart from this, keynotes and panel discussions on topics related to startups were held on all three days. In which many experts including Sarthak Ahuja and Arjun Vaidye gave detailed guidance about startups.
The aim of the event was to put Gujarat, including Surat, on the global startup ecosystem map. More than 10,000 people including 200+ startup founders, 500+ investors and industry leaders participated in this startup summit making it one of the largest startup summits of its kind in India. The event will provide a platform for networking, learning and collaboration. With the presence of 50+ VCs, 15+ angel networks and 300+ angel investors, the event provided a unique opportunity for startups to showcase their offerings and pitch their ideas to top investors in the country.

Apart from this, more than 85 startups showcased their innovative products and services, the entire initiative received an investment of Rs 15 crore to startups which shows the success of the initiative.
