Surat, Bardoli: Corona is re-entering at a slow pace. In rural areas of Surat district, 12 more cases were registered on Wednesday and now the number of active cases has reached 48. After 10 cases were reported on Monday, 12 more cases were reported on Wednesday. People are also being advised by the system to go out wearing masks.
The fourth wave of Corona is raging in Surat city as well as in the district. The number of cases is increasing day by day. The district received 12 new cases on Wednesday. The highest number of 4 cases was reported in Kamaraj taluka. While 2 cases were reported in Bardoli taluka, 2 in Choryasi taluka, 1 in Mahuva taluka, 0 in Mandvi taluka, 1 in Mangrol taluka, 0 in Olpad taluka and 2 in Palsana taluka. Currently 48 cases are active in the district. Four patients were released on Wednesday. It may be mentioned here that 42 thousand 892 cases have been registered in Surat district so far. Out of which 559 patients have died.
Facilities including oxygen, ventilator, bed were rebuilt in the new Civil Covid building following the growing case of Corona.
Surat: The number of cases has come down as the transition to the third wave of Corona has slowed down. However, now that the case is coming up again, a review meeting has been convened by the new civil hospital system to take stock of the situation and arrangements have been made for the ward, OPD and necessary medical equipment in the Covid building in the new civil hospital.
A ward and OPD have been set up on the ground floor of the Covid building in view of the growing case of Corona, according to details from new Civil Hospital sources. In addition, the number of doctors and nursing staff has also been increased. As well as the hospital system including ventilator, oxygen, bed, stretcher has been coordinated with the doctors and nursing staff. It may be mentioned that the number of cases registered in the first and second wave is less now. But advance preparations have been made by the health system.

It is learned that the report of Dr. Chintan Patel of TB and Chest Department of New Civil Hospital was positive. He is currently undergoing treatment. A total of 5 patients, including a doctor, are being treated at Kovid Hospital. In addition, 6 patients came to the OPD yesterday for examination.
