Chamber President’s call to create new products to attract the world market
Tough Scheme has contributed greatly to the growth of India’s textile industry. The government of India has given Rs 10,000 crores under the tough scheme till date. About 85% of all investment in the textile sector in the last two decades has been attributed to this tough scheme. The entire textile industry thanks the Government of India for this. When such a tough scheme has expired, MSMEs should not be unfairly treated in the new scheme and since the job-working units contribute 55 to 60% in the entire textile value chain, such units should not be excluded from the new incentive scheme and the new scheme should be tough based.
